The Oroiles just inked southpaw Brian Matusz from San Diego to a major league deal for $3.2MM.The Royals are still in intense negotiations with Hosmer, the top high school power bat in the draft but he is not expected to get a ML deal and is believed to be asking for a far greater figure than Matusz's $3.2 mil. Some recent waves have Hosmer going to Arizona State. Hopefully, for Kansas City's sake, that doesn't happen.
