As I previously reported in my "Plan B" post (and no, there were no typos) the Royals had indeed shifted their focus to David Eckstein and Willie Bloomquist. The team came to terms with the latter today on a two year deal.Bloomquist, a light hitter, has never proved himself as a starter in the bigs. If nothing else, Bloomquist will platoon with Alberto Callaspo this season. Sorry Otis, I know you would have loved for me to be wrong on this one. The team couldn't get a reasonable response from the Rangers regarding Young. I'm sure you'll try to say I was imagining this Bloomquist deal too.

Congratulations Captain Obvious. It's no secret the Royals were looking for veteran middle infield help...and they were after Bloomquist four years ago. /golf claps.
You know, I still haven't figured out what drives some people (people like you for instance) to always get on these message boards and just be hateful day in and day out? From the first time you posted on here claiming I was "spamming" on some site I haven't been able to figure you out. I'm still not sure where you saw the name of my blog with MY NAME attached to it that automatically made you think that I "spammed" it. I can assure you I didn't. There are lots of people who subscribe and read this blog. I would imagine it was one of them who enjoy the site and was trying to help me promote it. I appreciate whomever did it by the way. I hope you realize I'm a Royals fan just like you are, man. I'm as passionate about the team as you are. I started this blog as a fun way to connect with other Royals fans. I'm not sure what enjoyment you get out of it by acting like a horses ass all the time, but just so long as you are enjoying it I guess. Either way, thanks for coming back and being loyal. I really don't hate you, though you seem to hate me and my crappy blog. That's fine. I just hope you are a much happier person than you seem.
