Royals farmhand to receive suspension; story from AP

Associated Press
NEW YORK -- Kansas City minor-league outfielder Jarrod Dyson was suspended for 50 games Saturday after testing positive for an amphetamine. The penalty will begin at the start of the season.
The 24-year-old Dyson hit .260 with 24 RBIs and 39 stolen bases for Class A Wilmington of the Carolina League last year.
He is the sixth minor-leaguer suspended this year under the program, the fifth for performance-enhancing drugs. One was banned after a positive test for a drug of abuse.

I kind of suspected the dude was on something since every time he hit a homerun, he rounded the bases twice. *ba dam DA* I'll be here all week.

But seriously, folks. I wonder if Tug or any of his readers has any advice for a first time spring training. I'm heading out to Surprise March 7 and have no idea if I need to get tickets in advance or what. No idea. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I'll share my black beauties with you. That Dyson character doesn't need them anymore.

Ok Mark...try to stay with me here because this can get really complicated.

Go to the Royals home page. Click on 'Tickets' then select 'Spring Training Tickets.'

I know it's complicated. Read it several times if you have to. Sound the words out. I know you can do it.

Hey Mark, why aren't you taking your buddy Tug with you??? I'm pretty jealous right now. Anyways, you should be able to pick up tickets at the stadium of your choosing before the game.
Why should you have to go to the Royals homepage? I'll post the info for ya right here!

Thanks Tug. Got the info. I was really just wondering if there are any spring training secrets known only to Royals fans in Arizona. "Head to the Hard Luck bar on Fifth and ask for Tony. While speaking to him, touch your nose three times with your left hand. He'll set you up with tickets and leave a case of Cutty Sark in your trunk..."
For instance. Anonymous, not everything should be done over the web. Go outside once in a while. Get some sun. Visit a strange bar and make new friends. For God's sake, clean yourself up and get a girlfriend. You reek, son."

lol Mark...I envy your ability to determine everything about me by a single post.

How did you get your plane ticket to Phoenix? Drive to the airport and buy them? LOL.

Damn, deleted my own post. Anyways, I was saying that knowing Mark he probably bought the ticket online after slamming a case of Cutty Sark. So it's not his fault. Lol. No? Hell, I'm probably way off.

Mark, if you don't mind a smokey atmosphere then Runner's Sports Bar (12751 W Bell Rd. #8-9)is pretty friendly. Another place would be the Coyote Alley Bar (16846 W Bell Rd. Ste 101) which is a place that some people consider they would take their mom. Both of those places have pool tables, off-track betting, live music and the people are pretty friendly to deal with. Runner's runs poker tournaments on certain nights throughout the year. You might give those a try. There are several cool places down there. I say one of the best ideas is to check with some people at the games. Not sure if I can hook you up with anyone that can slide you some tickets, but you never know. Alcohol is a helluva thing!

By the way, I'm sure you're looking for a place you would feel comfortable taking your mom. Right?
